Relocated to Silvermist Wine Estate

La Colombe Restaurant has relocated from Constantia Uitsig to the tranquil Silvermist Wine Estate situated at Constantia Nek and part of the Constantia Wine Route.

La Colombe, one of Cape Town’s most well-loved and awarded restaurants, achieved an impressive 12th place in the San Pellegrino 50 Best Restaurants of the World Awards 2010. Having moved up 26 places and into the hallowed Top 20, this bastion of contemporary French-meets-Asian fine dining thereby also clinched the Acqua Panna Best Restaurant in Africa and Middle East Award.

La Colombe also achieved an honourable San Pellegrino Top 100 ranking in 2011.

Winner of both Chef of the Year and Restaurant of the Year in the Eat Out Awards 2008, and again honoured with the prestigious Restaurant of the Year title in 2009, La Colombe has also achieved the highest three star rating in the acclaimed Rossouw’s Restaurants guide.

With impeccable service and an award-winning wine list, La Colombe is a truly unforgettable experience!

La Colombe was proudly placed 7th in the Eat Out DStv Food Network Restaurant Awards for 2012.

This past Monday, Silvermist winemaker Gregory Louw treated us to a trip up the mountain in his Land rover and we had the privilege of looking back down onto our new home and it's surrounds.
Wow! What a beautiful location!

Amy CampbellThis is our favourite dish at La Colombe! My family and I have been coming to La Colombe since I was very young and we're SO excited you've moved just up the road from us! All the important birthdays are spent at La Colombe and we can't wait to eat at the new premises! Viva La Colombe!1   ·  4 weeks ago

Jaclyn TeubesI've never had the pleasure of dining at La Colombe before but have only heard great things. I would LOVE to dine at the newly relocated restaurant at Silvermist - the most beautiful setting to enjoy a springtime meal :)1   ·  4 weeks ago

Abike Lisa UllrichI WILL LOVE to dine at La Colombe Restaurant because I gave a voucher for "one portion of love" to my men last week. This is the front of his birthday voucher (on the back you'll find day and time I reserved a table for at your place in Oct):1   ·  4 weeks ago

Anjela PianforiniThere is quite simply no finer experience in the world. We travel every year from the UK just to get our La Colombe 'fix'. It's the combination of elegant fine dining, a welcoming relaxed atmosphere, and an exquisite wine list that pulls us back year after year! ... A totally exquisite experience bettered by ..none! .. Happy new home everyone... See you soon! ...1   ·  3 weeks ago

Patrick WhelanI've only once had the opportunity to dine at La Colombe, but sadly was too young to enjoy the whole experience. Now that some years have passed and the restaurant has changed venues, I cannot wait to appreciate and love everything that your amazing cuisine has to offer. Also, if I won this and got to take my girlfriend on this incredible date I think she would love me forever!1   ·  3 weeks ago

Olivia KentThis is a prize everyone would want & I really hope luck is on my side today:) Sadly I’ve never been to La Colombe but I have always heard of its incredibleness & have wanted to visit for ages! Finally trying your amazing cuisine in its beautiful brand new setting will be an experience I will never ever forget ever!! Please pick me for this brand new, mind blowing experience:)1   ·  3 weeks ago

Jo SmithWow ! Would LOVE this to be a gift for my husbands **th birthday, what a fantastic surprise it would be. We have been wanting to experience fine foods and great wines at La Colombe since we arrived in Cape Town 18 months ago, but sadly have not yet managed it. However, now you are relocating to the beautiful Silvermist in Hout Bay we really HAVE to go as we literally live across the road. Happy days will surely follow :) x1   ·  3 weeks ago

Dylan RohlederAfter a year apart and a missed anniversary, Caroline Fuchsloch returns to Cape Town from London. This would be the greatest compensation for all the missed experiences over the year and a fantastic "first" date1   ·  2 weeks ago

Caroline FuchslochDylan Rohleder and I have always wanted to go to to La Colombe Restaurant on a date night together. We have missed so many special occassions together - not to mention my lack of fine dining experiences in London. This would be the most incredibly special way to spend our - soon to be reunited - first date after a year apart! We would LOVE this!1   ·  2 weeks ago

Megan SchultzEvery year I save up some funds for one special dining experience because I do think that I love food more than anything else! Good food is also only as good as the entire dining experience - be it fat salty olives on a rooftop in Athens with a view of the Parthenon or a greasy Gatsby on the streets of Salt River sitting on the sidewalk next to a local who smiles at you like a loving friend! Last year I chose La Colombe as my dining experience- and I don't think anything has ever been so perfect. I would love to dine at La Colombe as I would love to share this unbelievable experience with my fellow food loving partner!1   ·  4 days ago

Good morning!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful start to their Sunday morning.

Yesterday we shared the experience of 'Quintessentially Me'

Today we thought we would repost the blog 'A Gorgeous Life - Lunch at La Colombe' to reminisce during this time when we are renovating our new home and you are sadly unable to enjoy the wining and dining at La Colombe.

Counting down the days till we reopen. We miss you :)

Quintessentially Me shares her experience of La Colombe

This was one of my favourite days of my entire trip to South Africa. I was staying with my very dear friend Marilyn for a couple of days before heading home to London, and as we don’t get to spend much quality time together living in different countries, we wanted to do something memorable. We decided on the famed La Colombe as not only is it rated 12th in the world, but it is also where Luke Dale Roberts (from Test Kitchen) used to be the Executive Chef. It has since continued it’s great success under Scot Kirton and has an outstanding reputation.
