Relocated to Silvermist Wine Estate

La Colombe Restaurant has relocated from Constantia Uitsig to the tranquil Silvermist Wine Estate situated at Constantia Nek and part of the Constantia Wine Route.

La Colombe, one of Cape Town’s most well-loved and awarded restaurants, achieved an impressive 12th place in the San Pellegrino 50 Best Restaurants of the World Awards 2010. Having moved up 26 places and into the hallowed Top 20, this bastion of contemporary French-meets-Asian fine dining thereby also clinched the Acqua Panna Best Restaurant in Africa and Middle East Award.

La Colombe also achieved an honourable San Pellegrino Top 100 ranking in 2011.

Winner of both Chef of the Year and Restaurant of the Year in the Eat Out Awards 2008, and again honoured with the prestigious Restaurant of the Year title in 2009, La Colombe has also achieved the highest three star rating in the acclaimed Rossouw’s Restaurants guide.

With impeccable service and an award-winning wine list, La Colombe is a truly unforgettable experience!

La Colombe was proudly placed 7th in the Eat Out DStv Food Network Restaurant Awards for 2012.

Hands-down the best we’ve ever had. Inventive, creative cooking that is so good you find yourself making moaning and groaning involuntarily

Cape Town Magazine

La Colombe is the kind of restaurant where you sit back and let the more than accomplished staff take the reins. A quick meal here could never do it justice. A long, indulgent tasting menu is the only way to go.

We are over the moon to hear that they are moving to an arguably even more stunning location in the Constantia Wine Valley

Haute cuisine, very pleasant place, romantic and calm. Best food of my life.

Amy CampbellThis is our favourite dish at La Colombe! My family and I have been coming to La Colombe since I was very young and we're SO excited you've moved just up the road from us! All the important birthdays are spent at La Colombe and we can't wait to eat at the new premises! Viva La Colombe!1   ·  2 days ago

Jaclyn TeubesI've never had the pleasure of dining at La Colombe before but have only heard great things. I would LOVE to dine at the newly relocated restaurant at Silvermist - the most beautiful setting to enjoy a springtime meal :)1   ·  2 days ago

Stuart HirstSerendipity is real! When my wife and I started to research our 40th wedding anniversary destination nearly 1 year ago, we identified a number of criteria to satisfy: we wanted to indulge in the best cuisine and wine available and to see the best countryside and most varied wildlife. South Africa and Cape Town satisfied our desires. So, we will arrive from UK on 10 October and stay at Dongola Guest House for 4 nights (barely 10 minutes away from Silvermist Wine Estate). It seems fate might lie in the hands of the gods as to whether La Colombe Restaurant will be able to reopen on 1 October as intended but, quite honestly, we'd eat on a building site to have this opportunity to dine at Cape Town's finest. Fortunately, I'd downloaded last years Gourmand Tasting menu with wine and we've looked forward to this for months. Our haute cuisine aspirations have been raised by months of watching Masterchef Professional on UK TV. This is our chance to to taste it!3 hours ago

Good morning!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful start to their Sunday morning.

Yesterday we shared the experience of 'Quintessentially Me'

Today we thought we would repost the blog 'A Gorgeous Life - Lunch at La Colombe' to reminisce during this time when we are renovating our new home and you are sadly unable to enjoy the wining and dining at La Colombe.

Counting down the days till we reopen. We miss you :)

Quintessentially Me shares her experience of La Colombe

This was one of my favourite days of my entire trip to South Africa. I was staying with my very dear friend Marilyn for a couple of days before heading home to London, and as we don’t get to spend much quality time together living in different countries, we wanted to do something memorable. We decided on the famed La Colombe as not only is it rated 12th in the world, but it is also where Luke Dale Roberts (from Test Kitchen) used to be the Executive Chef. It has since continued it’s great success under Scot Kirton and has an outstanding reputation.
